Cellular Renewal Serum — The Science

The cosmetic research behind our four-active French serum

PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica, MossCellTec™ N°1, salmon-derived DNA polynucleotide complex (Sederma DNA Gel™ PH), and Hybloom™ HA-TP. Locked formula FOR.25.186.01. Manufactured in France.

Disclosures. Cellular Renewal Serum contains a salmon-derived DNA polynucleotide complex (Sederma DNA Gel™ PH). Not vegan. Not recommended for individuals with fish or seafood allergies. The EU INCI for this active is "DNA" — we are not in the injectable PDRN category. All claims on this page describe the supplier's cosmetic ingredient research; finished-product results in our serum may vary.

PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica

Tier A2 — Supplier clinical study (28-day)Mibelle Biochemistry2010

Schmid & Zülli (2010) — An Apple a Day: Plant Stem Cells for Skin

SPC Magazine, 02/2010. Mibelle Biochemistry technical publication.

Cosmetic ingredient study of PhytoCellTec™ Malus Domestica — plant cell culture extract from the Uttwiler Spätlauber, a rare Swiss apple variety known for its post-harvest resilience. 28-day cosmetic clinical evaluation at the studied active concentration.

"In a 28-day study at the studied active concentration, measurable increases in skin firmness and dermal density were observed."

Important context. Mibelle's research was conducted at the supplier's studied concentration. In Cellular Renewal Serum, PhytoCellTec is present at 0.10% — lower than Mibelle's research range. We frame appearance benefits in cosmetic-appearance language only, never as drug-tier structural changes.

Tier B2 — Supplier category research2008

Plant Stem Cell Extract for Longevity of Skin and Hair

SöFW Journal, May 2008. Mibelle Biochemistry.

Foundational publication establishing the plant stem cell extract category in cosmetic ingredient science. Reviews the biology, sourcing, and cosmetic application of plant cell culture extracts.

Stimuli for Skin Stem Cells (April 2009) + Stimulating Epidermal Regeneration with Plant-Derived Stem Cells (May 2010)

HPC Anti-Aging Beauty Inside, April 2009 + C&T Magazine, May 2010.

Category-level cosmetic science reviews on plant-derived cell culture extracts and their appearance benefits.

MossCellTec™ N°1

Tier B2 — Supplier researchMibelle Biochemistry

MossCellTec™ N°1 — Physcomitrella patens callus extract

Mibelle Biochemistry's moss-cell biotech ingredient, positioned for cosmetic appearance benefits relating to skin resilience. Cosmetic ingredient research supports the supplier's positioning for the studied active.

Cross-product story. MossCellTec™ N°1 is the same active at the heart of our Cellular Clarity Serum. Two formulations share the active — because resilient-looking skin and even-looking tone are connected concerns in cosmetic ingredient science.

Salmon-Derived DNA Polynucleotide Complex (Sederma DNA Gel™ PH)

Tier B2 — Supplier research categorySederma / Croda (France)

Sederma DNA Gel™ PH — Salmon Soft-Roe Origin DNA Polynucleotide Complex

EU INCI: DNA (CAS 9007-49-2). Source: Salmon (Oncorhynchus spp.) soft roe. Delivered in a hyaluronic-acid gel base.

The salmon source is used because its DNA has structural similarity to human DNA, and the purification process removes proteins and lipids, leaving polynucleotide chains.

In cosmetic-ingredient research, salmon-derived DNA polynucleotide complexes are formulated to support the appearance of firmer, more resilient-looking skin.

What we don't claim. The published research on polynucleotides primarily concerns injectable medical applications in markets outside the US (Rejuran, Placentex). Those applications are not legally available as drugs in the US without an FDA-cleared IND. Our serum is a topical cosmetic. We do not claim DNA repair, regeneration, fibroblast stimulation, or any pharmaceutical-tier benefit. The 0.15% DNA concentration in our finished serum is far lower than what injectable research studies use — supplier research at injectable concentrations does not transfer to topical-cosmetic claims.

Hybloom™ HA-TP (Bloomage Biotech)

Tier B2 — Established cosmetic ingredient

Hybloom™ HA-TP — Multi-molecular-weight cosmetic hyaluronic acid

Bloomage Biotech is the world's largest cosmetic-grade hyaluronic acid producer. Hybloom™ HA-TP is their multi-MW cosmetic line, delivering hyaluronic acid in varied molecular weights designed for cosmetic surface hydration and the appearance of plumper-looking skin.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the most studied cosmetic ingredients globally — established for the look of skin hydration and surface smoothness.
